| August 26, 2005 1:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office went to Commerce Street in Bigfork at 5 a.m., when a resident awoke to find a strange woman sleeping on the couch. She didn't know how the drowsy drop-in had gotten into the house. A deputy learned that the woman lived down the street and escorted her to her home and the care of her brother.

More sleeping in an undesignated area was reported on Park Avenue, where a resident reported a man passed out in his neighbor's driveway. He was awakened and given a ride in a patrol car to a more suitable slumberland.

A sexual assault between children was reported on Montana 35. Two missing 10-year-old girls on Columbia Falls Stage Road were found.

At Stoner Creek, a man said a woman tried to run over him when he showed up to repossess a vehicle. When she found out he was calling 911, she gave up, he said.

A pursuit south from Kalispell reportedly reached speeds of 110 mph. Deputies followed the driver to the Lake County line. He was reportedly arrested in that county.

On Willow Glen Drive, a man said his wife hit him and left. Another man said his wife showed up where he is living and threw rocks. It was at 1 a.m. when a man's ex-girlfriend appeared in his back yard, yelling and determined to stay. After he called the Sheriff's Office, she pedaled away.

A boombox was stolen on Judith Road. Rings were taken on McMannamy Draw.

Possible neglect of sheep was reported. On the North Fork Road, a bat in a living room was captured beneath a bucket, awaiting the animal warden's arrival. More animal problems were reported on Nicholson Drive where a man complained that an amorous pit bull keeps coming over and jumping into the kennel where his dog is in heat. The pet owner threatened a lawsuit over the advances of the bad dog, which was taken to the animal shelter when no owner could be found.
