Man, car found in pond

A 66-year-old Bigfork man was found dead in his vehicle, submerged in a pond at Harbor Village Thursday.

The cause of the death of Paul Rex Holland is under investigation, said deputy coroner Dorothy Browder.

Undersheriff Mike Meehan said, "We don't suspect any foul play," in the death. An autopsy will reveal whether Holland drowned or died of natural causes before his vehicle entered the water, he said.

Holland was reported missing by his wife just after midnight when he didn't return home from a neighborhood party earlier in the night.

His Jeep Grand Cherokee was discovered in the pond by construction workers at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

It was in about 7 feet of water, Meehan said.
