Bonnie Julayne Kraut, 70

Bonnie Julayne Kraut, 70, passed away July 10, 2005, in Lethbridge, Alberta, where she was born on Jan. 23, 1935.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Niles; four children, Kirk von Kraut of Greenwood Village, Colo., Tyra Kilcullen of Evergreen, Colo., Thane Kraut of Lone Tree, Colo., and Thor von Kraut of Bedford, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Bonnie moved to Kalispell, in 1962, with her husband, Dan Kraut, who was a Montana Highway Patrolman. Bonnie lived in Kalispell from 1962 to 1983. In 1966, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor which left her paralyzed on her right side and other complications.

She is remembered for her passion for life, incredible positive attitude and willingness to contribute to every person she met.

Bonnie returned to Lethbridge, in 1989, where she was surrounded by many friends and relatives. Her source of freedom and independence was found on an electric scooter where she was known throughout Lethbridge.

Her body was cremated and her ashes will be spread in a few of her favorite places in the Flathead Valley. "Kalispell, my hometown."
