A second suspect has been arrested in the burglary and theft of a safe Nov. 7 at Fatt Boys.

Kalispell police Tuesday arrested Seth Major, 25, of Evergreen. He is held on $20,000 bond for the two felonies.

Andrew Johnson, 26, also is charged in the crime, which reportedly involved the theft of about $35,000 from the business. Johnson was arrested in Canada and faces unrelated theft and drug charges, also.

Kalispell police detective Jim Wardensky said Major and Johnson are friends. They rented adjoining units at a storage facility on Rose Crossing, which police searched in connection with the burglary.

The men had cut a hole between the units and later boarded it up, Wardensky said. Inside at least one of the units was other evidence and tools that police think were used to open the safe, he said.

When Johnson was arrested, he allegedly possessed about $5,000 in American and Canadian currency, and a check that came from the safe.

The two men allegedly entered the business through the roof hatch, pried open the office door and removed the safe.

Wardensky said other arrests may follow in matters not directly related to the bar burglary because of evidence that surfaced during the investigation.
