Mike Sisich, 88

Mike Sisich, 88, passed away Nov. 24, 2005, in Kalispell.

He was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Butte, the fourth of 12 children, and resided in Anaconda, where he had retired as a smelterman.

He and his wife, Rose, were married 44 years prior to her death in 1987.

Mike enjoyed bowling, dancing and golf.

He was a lifetime member of the Anaconda Elks, Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of Butte, and a 35-year member of the Anaconda Country Club.

He is survived by daughters, Carol Rose of Kalispell, and Diane and son-in-law, Bill Fowler, of Reno, Nev.; grandchildren, Cynthia Moore of Las Vegas, Craig Sundberg of Anaconda, and Addy Fowler of Reno; stepgrandchildren, Rob Windorski and Cheryl Burgess, both of Kalispell; sisters, Vera Wills and Velma Batten of Butte; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Shirley Matosich of Swan Lake, Joe and Flora Matosich of San Diego, Jeanette Matosich of Opportunity, and Natalie Fitzpatrick of Butte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Riddle Funeral Home in Anaconda. An Elks ritualistic service will begin at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Peter's Church in Anaconda.

Donations may be made to Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
