SWAT team arrests three in Evergreen

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office SWAT team arrested three people on drug charges Wednesday night in Evergreen.

The tactical team, patrol officers, and members of the drug team were involved in the arrests of April Stokes, 19, Richard Syth, 46, and Cindy Stokes, 48.

Officers burst into their Parliament Drive home at about 9:30 p.m. and arrested the trio without incident. There was concern about officers' safety in arresting Syth, so the SWAT team was involved.

Syth was arrested on a warrant for sale of dangerous drugs. Cindy Stokes' warrant was for possession and sale of drugs, and April Stokes was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs. All the charges reportedly are related to methampetamine.

S.W.A.T. team Cmdr. Bruce Parish said the arrests were "absolutely perfect. As far as SWAT operations go, it went without a flaw."
