Kalispell police
Parents with an apparent penchant for art left their 11-year-old son at a downtown Kalispell business while they participated in the Art Walk. Two and a half hours later, Kalispell police were called to help the boy find his missing parents. Police took the boy to his house, but no one was home, so he was turned over to other family members.
Two men quarreled on Main Street near the courthouse. One of the men threatened the other with a tire iron, then took off in his vehicle. The man left standing called police to say his friend was driving recklessly and should be stopped and warned about his behavior. It was later determined the man reporting the incident was the real instigator of the fight. The police report noted, "two wrongs do not make a right."
Police took two reports of a rowdy teen party on Appleway Drive. Kids were playing music too loud and spinning brodies in the parking lot.
A woman left a home on 10th Avenue West to call police and tell officers a man had put "some sort of chemical" in her medicine. She was transported by ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
A man was arrested on North Meridian Road for domestic abuse.
At First Avenue West and Main, the occupants of a vehicle were throwing snowballs at pedestrians.
Youths in a red sports car were shooting BB guns or paintballs on Fifth Avenue East.
A 43-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving on West Idaho Street.
On West Center Street, a 22-year-old man was arrested for DUI and running a red light. West Center was the site of two other arrests earlier Friday evening. A 36-year-old man was arrested for DUI, obstructing an officer, careless driving, no insurance and driving with a suspended license. A 17-year-old companion was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
