Marjory Lura Pack, 98
Marjory Lura Pack, 98, died Nov. 23, 2005, in Kalispell. She was born Dec. 21, 1906, in Barton, Iowa, to Arthur and Lura Hostetler. She spent her early life on the ranch near Raleigh, N. D., where her parents homesteaded and raised their six children.
In 1927, she was married to Samy Pack in Leith, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 4, 1955. After her husband's death, she taught school at Marion and Deer Park for 14 years. After retirement in 1969, she moved to Seattle, returning to Kalispell in 1994 where she lived until her death.
She is survived by her sons, Donovan Pack and wife, Elaine, of Spokane, and Ronald Pack and wife, Margaret, of Kalispell; a sister, Ilene Ozbun, of Bismarck, N.D.; six grandchildren, Deborah Pack-Patton of Portland, Holly Pepe of Boise, Idaho, LaVonne Gardner of Kalispell, Gayle Gehrke of Seattle, Danny Pack of Boise, and Andrew Pack of Seattle; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of Christian Center and closely followed politics, giving generously from her small income to many Christian charities and her political party.
The family suggests memorials could be given to Christian Center or Immanuel Lutheran Home. A private memorial service is planned for a later date.
