and others were busy with traffic accidents - some causing serious injuries. There were a number of slide-ins and other minor events. At 8 a.m. Tuesday, Hungry Horse and Martin City fire departments and Columbia Falls ambulance went with highway patrol to U.S. near Berne Park. Extrication equipment was needed and at least two injured people were taken to the hospital.

At about 9:30 a.m., a head-on crash on U.S. 93 near Happy Valley also injured at least two people when a passenger vehicle and a cement truck collided. Kalispell and Columbia Falls sent ambulances; extrication equipment was reportedly used.

It was after midnight when a vehicle flipped onto its side after hitting a power pole on Echo Lake Road. The two male occupants of the truck were gone when authorities arrived.

On Tamarack Lane, someone vandalized two pumps. Residents on Ganz Road cannot forgive those who trespass against them. Intruders have been hiking in and showing up on skis. Trespassers were also reported in Hungry Horse.

It was after midnight when two men reportedly pried at a window at the Ferndale Market Coffee Stand.

It wasn't the first time a 14-year-old boy on Middle Road went to bed and then vanished from the house. He returned again this time, after a parent called police.

An ex-husband's girlfriend is harassing someone in the north valley, a resident said.

Officers are investigating a report that horses have been left by their owner with no food or water.
