Janet Mary 'Jan' Sarasua, 50

Janet Mary "Jan" (Stockinger) Sarasua, 50, passed away Dec. 13, 2005, at Healthcenter Northwest in Kalispell.

She was born Jan. 11, 1955, in Burlingame, Calif., and raised in San Bruno, Calif. Jan received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Great Falls.

She was formerly employed by The Nurturing Center in Kalispell. Jan was beloved as a school teacher, and at the time of her death she was teaching at Cayuse Prairie School.

Jan was also a talented artist and an outdoors enthusiast.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Sarasua; father, William Stockinger; and sisters, Karthryn Pine and Denise Roddy.

Jan is survived by her mother, Helene Stockinger, of San Bruno, Calif.; son, Joseph Sarasua II, of Kalispell; brother, William Stockinger; and sisters, Helene Emerson and Debbi Murphy.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. Matthew's Church in Kalispell.
