Winners of art show named at Hockaday

The Hockaday Museum of Art is pleased to announce the winners of the People's Choice Awards in its fourth annual "Members Only! A Members Salon."

On display through Dec. 17, this exhibition features works in a variety of mediums by more than 70 artist members of the Hockaday Museum of Art. The exhibition includes artwork by both amateur and professional artists.

The First Place People's Choice Award has been awarded to Sherry Salari Sander for her bronze entitled "On The Roof." Sander has been awarded a $200 cash prize, a one-year membership to the Hockaday Museum, and gift certificates to Montana Frameworks and Digital Planet. Terry Mimnaugh's oil painting "Going Home Along the Flathead" was selected for the Second Place People's Choice Award. She won a $100 cash prize.

The winner of the Third Place People's Choice Award and a $50 cash prize was Lisa Schaus for her pastel painting entitled "Cumulonimbus on the Eastern Front." Voting for the People's Choice Awards began at the opening reception and continued through the Kalispell Art Walk and Christmas Stroll on Dec. 2.

The Hockaday is located at 302 Second Ave. E. in downtown Kalispell. Winter hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2.
