Kalispell police took errant Squirrel No. 27 into custody after it caused a problem on College Avenue. It will likely join other ne'er-do-well rodents in an improvised squirrel relocation camp in Lawrence Park.

A personal music player was stolen at the high school. An unattended purse was snatched from a bench at the mall.

It appeared someone had entered an empty home on East California Street Thursday.

A woman was arrested for DUI on Rosewood Drive. A man was arrested for partner assault on Second Avenue West North. A woman was arrested on a warrant on Airport Road and a man there was charged with resisting arrest.

A man on 18th Street West reportedly yelled for an entire hour. That must have been the limit of his vocal endurance because he'd gone mute by the time an officer arrived.

Someone appeared to be watching a house in a creepy way on Greatview Drive.

A fight was reported at Sawbuck's. A man's presence at Fatt Boy's bar was no longer welcome.

Bad driving strategies included tailgating and making bad passes on Main Street, reckless driving on Airport Road, going too fast on Willow Glen Drive, and making an obscene gesture while parking in a handicapped space near the high school.

An intoxicated man learned his need for a taxi did not warrant a call to the emergency 911 line. An intoxicated pedestrian was arrested at Syke's.

A parent asked an officer to chat with a 12-year-old daughter who has been stealing things.

A tool kit and jack were stolen on West Wyoming Street.
