Theresa F. Burnham, 99

Theresa F. Burnham, 99, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at her residence in Kalispell. She was born Oct. 3, 1906, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Frank and Katherine T. (Fleming) Lyon. Theresa received her primary and secondary schooling in Springfield, Mass. She then attended Northeastern University in Springfield, Mass.

After her schooling at Northeastern in 1928, Theresa worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Lincoma, N.H. She married Perley Burnham in Lincoma, and they moved to Washington, D.C. They also resided in Alexandria, Va., until 1976, when she and Perley moved to Kalispell, where she remained until her passing. She was a member of St. Matthew's Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perley, in October 2000, and a daughter, Judy, in June 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Olson, and husband, Eric, of Great Falls; a son, Dave Burnham, of Whitefish; two granddaughters, Tamara Olson of Minneapolis, and Christa Burnham of Boise, Idaho; grandson, Marc Burnham, with wife, Heather, of Whitefish; and six great-granddaughters, ages 14 months to 10 years.

Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa F. Burnham will be held at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, with Father Vic Langhans as celebrant. Committal will be afterward at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place at St. Matthew's from 8 a.m. until service time Friday.
