Kalispell police

Kalispell police had to sort through some reports that turned out to be not what they seemed. On Fifth Street West Tuesday night, a woman reported two people sitting in her vehicle. One was smaller and possibly a child, she said. Later, she said the only thing she really saw was a motion-detector light go on.

A report of a man threatening a customer with a knife at Syke's also turned out to be unfounded. There was a confrontation between two people over a debt, but it was only verbal.

Wednesday afternoon, a van with a dozen passengers hit a tree on Sylvan Drive. Kalispell Fire Department requested help from Whitefish and Bigfork ambulances. Six or seven patients were taken to the emergency room at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, which was full, and at least one was sent to North Valley Hospital.

On Tuesday and again Wednesday, a man prompted calls about his safety when he reportedly staggered in traffic.

A woman reported her ex-husband's threats to kill her and her boyfriend.

There was a fight at Fatt Boy's. Later, a man alleged he and a friend were assaulted there. Three people were arrested at a fight at Finnegan's. A man on Parkway Drive reported his roommate "going crazy."

The Fire Department was sent to Three Rivers Bank Wednesday for a woman who was stuck in an elevator.
