Loggers finish with four champs; Whitefish second, again

POLSON - The Libby Loggers claimed their third straight Northwestern A divisional team title and fourth in five years Saturday. The Loggers got four individual championships and qualified 14 for what should be a dandy Class A state tournament next weekend.

Whitefish was a surprising second for the second year in a row with three divisional champs and 14 state qualifiers. The Loggers and Bulldogs tied for the most state qualifiers.

Host Polson came away six individual champions, 11 state participants and finished third as a team.

Columbia Falls was a solid fourth, sending 12 to state with two divisional winners.
