Rose M. Triepke, 89

Rose M. Triepke, 89, passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Heritage Place in Kalispell. Rose was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Winifred, the daughter of John and Johanna (Smovier) Tuss. Rose grew up and graduated high school in Winifred in 1933.

She married Francis Triepke in Winifred in 1935.

Rose worked as a cafeteria cook for St. Leo's High School in Lewistown.

In 1962, she moved to Great Falls for a position as head housekeeper at the College of Great Falls until her retirement in 1981. She then moved to Kalispell to enjoy her retirement.

Rose was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Kalispell. She loved her flowers and gardening, and her dog, Jiggs.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1944; her parents; a brother, Johnny; and two sisters, Judy and Gladys.

Rose is survived by her sons, Richard Triepke, of Seeley

Lake, and Jack Triepke, of Bigfork; four sisters, Mary Pipinich of Lewistown, Kay Heller of Missoula, Frances Lozier of Snohomish, Wash., and Lucy Bossell of Helena; two brothers, Joe Tuss of Helena, and Frank Tuss of Lewistown; 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lewistown.
