Man accused of domestic attack

A Coram man was arrested Sunday on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping and unlawful restraint.

Robert Scott Jenkins, 37, turned himself in to the Columbia Falls Police Department Sunday and was arrested by sheriff's deputies.

The alleged victim had been afraid to report the incident, according to Flathead County Sheriff's Office.

According to a report, Jenkins kicked and choked the woman, sat on her chest, stood on her head, and would not let her leave the home.

She reportedly escaped from the residence on Gladys Glen Road Sunday morning. She was taken to North Valley Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
