Whitefish schools to update the public

Whitefish schools invite the public to attend a Superintendent's Community Forum on Jan. 20.

Superintendent Jerry House will lead a team giving feedback and a progress report on Speak Up, Whitefish. The project was initiated last year to generate improvements in the schools and update the public on what is happening with the Central School construction project.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Central School auditorium.

Two presentations are planned for the evening.

The first will cover progress made as a result of ideas that came out of Speak Up, Whitefish last year. People will talk about how those ideas are being implemented into curriculum and instruction areas districtwide.

The second will detail work on the Central School construction project through an outline of construction schedules and a PowerPoint presentation on progress to date.

Specific invitations have been mailed to nearly 120 people involved in committees working on the two projects.
