Flathead County Sheriff's deputies got a complaint of a golf ball flying through the window on Fern Lane in Bigfork Friday afternoon.

Deputies looked into a report of neglected horses on Whitefish Stage Road. The caller said the horses had no shelter and one appeared to have an injured hoof.

A student walking to Evergreen Junior High School heard several pings as a little car kept driving back and forth on West Cottonwood. It was suspected that someone was firing either a paintball or BB gun at the pedestrian.

A check received at Blacktail Grocery turned out to be a forgery.

A resident on West Cottonwood Drive reported her dog was stolen. She suspected the dog was taken in lieu of money she owned to her daughter.

A vehicle rolled over at about 7:30 a.m. Friday on Montana 35 south of the Lake Blaine turn off.

Employees at Plum Creek's MDF plant in Columbia Falls nabbed a teenager who was breaking into vehicles in the parking lot late Thursday. The youth, who was on probation for another offense, was arrested.

Deputies also arrested a juvenile, female shoplifter at Shopko Thursday evening. Another female was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

Deputies found small children left alone at home with a fire in the fireplace on Bain Lane Thursday evening. They said their mother went to the hospital. The log noted a history of domestic violence at the home.

Pitbulls attacked a neighbor's dog on Ninth Street West in Hungry Horse. The victim dog went to Glacier Animal Hospital and deputies impounded one of the pitbulls at the animal shelter.

According to the dog's owner, this was not the first attack by the neighbor's pitbulls.
