Charles 'Chuck' Gordon Huseby, 71

Charles "Chuck" Gordon Huseby, 71, died Jan. 11, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

He was born March 14, 1933, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Gordon and Audrey (Armstrong) Huseby.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Betty Thiele in Las Vegas, on Sept. 15, 1977. They lived in Spokane for 10 years before moving to the Flathead Valley in 2000, and lived in Columbia Falls until a few months ago when they moved to Kalispell. He was a master electrician by trade.

He enjoyed wood working, gardening, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. He loved the Mariners.

He was a beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Virgil Phelps; and mother- and father-in law, Art and Helen Thiele.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Betty Huseby of Kalispell; four daughters, Polli Huseby of Agana, Guam, Lori Shue and husband, Frank, of Phoenix, Dara Battista and husband, Jim, of Carmichael, Calif., and Elaine Christian and husband, Steve, of Tucson; four sons, Larry Skiles and wife, Carol, of Dillon, Robert Skiles and wife, Doris, of Seeley Lake, Dan Skiles and wife, Fay, of Kalispell, and Lewis Skiles and wife, Susan, of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Mary Hawke of White Lake, Mich., and Ginger Goslar of Chandler, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Dude Thiele and wife, Leola; sister-in-law, Bernice Kuehne; special cousins, Iris Kalay and Gerry Hildebant; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with Sassy and Baby.

A memorial gathering from family and friends for Chuck will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at 161 E. Reserve Dr., Kalispell. A luncheon will be served.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Hospice, Home Health Options, 175 Commons Loop, Ste. 100, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
