Ellen K. Tschache, 87

Ellen K. Tschache, 87, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Spring Meadows Assisted Living where she enjoyed her final four months of life under the additional care of Bozeman Deaconess Hospice.

Ellen was one of 14 children born to Ben and Martina (Ludwig) Ulmen on May 28, 1917, in Hingham.

Ellen was a care giver and a friend to everyone she touched. She loved meeting people and she shared her happiness everywhere she went and with everyone she met.

"What you do for yourself will soon be forgotten, what you do for others will live forever." - Anonymous. For all who knew her, Ellen will live forever.

Ellen was an active member of the community serving at First Presbyterian Church, the Republican Party, Eastern Star, and as an affiliate member of the Gallatin Empire Lions Club, to name a few. She was an avid sports fan, attending games from grade school through university.

Ellen is survived by her son, Gary Tschache, and his wife, Candy, of Bozeman; her daughter, Char Latta, and husband, Jim, of Centennial, Colo.; grandchildren, Chad Latta and wife, Wendy, of Corvallis, Ore., Buck Latta and wife, Cammie, of Denver, Tawnya Mullins and husband, Bill, of Millington, Tenn., Jaimee Pacheco and husband, Brandon, of Aurora, Colo., Keri Heiss of Parker, Colo., Amber Wilkinson and husband, Mike, of Kingston, Wash., Ellyse Dehn and husband, Mark, of Bozeman, and Rhett Tschache of Bozeman; brothers, Cliff, Vic and Dennis Ulmen; and sister, Clara Cooke; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, at First Presbyterian Church in Bozeman.
