Hilma was born in Kalispell to Richard and Mary Oftedal Reinertson. In 1912, her family moved to the Valley View area of Polson to homestead. She attended Valley View School through the eighth grade, then continued her education in Polson.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran faith, of which she was very proud.

In 1990, she moved to be with her son where she lived until going to Riverside.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1975; her parents and two sisters.

Hilma is survived by her son, Robert, of Missoula; a niece, Pat, and her husband, Orson Murray; a nephew, Dick, and his wife, Imogene Rooney; and numerous cousins in Montana, Arizona and Minnesota as well as many special friends.

Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Montana Cremation and Memorial Society. Graveside services will be held at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell later this spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Hilma's name to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Organ Fund, the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled and Burned Children, N. 820 Summit Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
