Lakeside Reading Buddies need help

The Lakeside Reading Buddy program needs volunteers.

Mentors with the program have worked with hundreds of Lakeside Elementary students throughout its five-year existence.

They work to create a supportive and fun learning environment that improves the self-confidence and reading skills of the children. Reading Buddies spend time talking and reading with students, either one-on-one or with an entire class.

Teachers, students and Reading Buddies rave about the close relationships, enthusiasm and enhanced reading skills generated through this program.
