The Crew Salon and Spa in Bigfork is holding a benefit today for Locks of Love, the organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness or medical treatment.

Locks of Love benefit today in Bigfork

The salon will offer free haircuts from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for any one who would like to donate 10 or more inches of healthy hair. Cash donations will also be welcome and will go toward covering the cost of making the wigs.

The Crew Salon is located next to the Lakehills IGA in Bigfork. For further details or to make an appointment, call 837-4200.

Blizzard Bowl today

Flathead County Parks and Recreation and the Flathead Valley Softball Association host the 10th annual Blizzard Bowl at Conrad Complex today in Kalispell.

Come watch the 19 teams play adult slow-pitch co-rec softball in the snow. Games begin at 9 a.m. on fields 1 through 5. Play will continue until about 7 to 9 p.m.

Concessions will be available. Families can purchase a day-concession pass for $5 or food items will be sold individually.

Prolife group sponsors march, rally for life

Flathead Prolife is sponsoring a march and rally for life today. Participants should meet at 2 p.m. at Kalispell's Depot Park for a prayer service, then plan to march to Central Bible Church for the rally. Call 755-9060 for further information.

Medical researcher to speak Sunday

Dr. Jonathon V. Wright, internationally known pioneer in the field of nutritional medicine and natural bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, will speak and answer questions at a free public gathering at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish.

Wright developed bio-identical estrogen, as well as an effective treatment for childhood asthma and other innovative techniques. He is a graduate of Harvard and the University of Michigan.
