Mary G. Schmidt, 69

Mary G. Schmidt, 69, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born July 31, 1935, in Trenton, Tenn., to E.G. "Bud" and Francis (King) Lett.

On Nov. 19, 1977, she married Bill Schmidt in Missoula. Mary spent 40 years in the insurance business. She worked for Hull & Company, and a service office of Montana as a commercial lines underwriter. She loved her work and developed many close relationships with her co-workers, company underwriters, and agents. Mary also had many close friends outside of work. Each friendship was special to her. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Lett; and her son, Bill Donnelly.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Schmidt of Kalispell; three stepdaughters, Pat Ross and husband, Butch of Missoula, Marilyn Theis and husband, Mike, and Carla Kiral, all of Kalispell; one stepson, Dale Schmidt and wife, Carrie, of Eureka; five grandchildren, Branden Theis, Kacie Elizagaray and husband, Chris, and Shae Buggs, all of Kalispell, Branden Caswell, and Travis Schmidt, both Eureka.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today, at Northridge Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorials may be made in Mary's name to Northridge Lutheran Church, 323 Northridge Dr., Kalispell, MT 59901.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
