Donna C. Parrot, widow and beloved mother of five children, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, in Walnut Creek, Calif., after a short bout with cancer. Mrs. Parrott, a six-year resident of the Rossmoor Community in California, was 82 years old. She was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colo.

Following her marriage to Douglas B. Parrott she moved to Billings, then later to Glasgow. In the mid-1960s they settled in Kalispell, where she and Douglas retired in the late 1980s. She moved to the Rossmoor Community a few years after her husband's death in 1995. She and Douglas had been married for over 50 years at the time of his death.

A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Parrott was an avid reader, gardener, sketch artist and bird watcher.

She leaves behind her children, Larry D. Parrott, his wife, Carol, and their children, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Gail Stevens, her husband, Edward, and their two children, of Bonney Lake, Wash.; Carol F. Johnson and her husband, A.J., of Newport, Ore.; Gregory G. Parrott and his wife, Oksun, of Fairfield, Calif.; and Kenneth W. Parrott and his wife, Susan, of Kalispell. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Parrott's ashes will be delivered to the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell for interment with Douglas. A private graveside service is planned for the spring.
