A Marion man who was shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy Saturday had an extremely high amount of alcohol in his system.
Sheriff Jim Dupont Tuesday said Terrance Sidener had a blood-alcohol level of .35. In Montana, a level of .08 is considered to be too intoxicated to drive.
Sidener, 56, died at his home after he reportedly threatened his wife and sheriff's deputies with loaded guns.
A preliminary review by the Kalispell Police Department indicates that a deputy's single, fatal shot at Sidener was justified. A final review is pending.
