Martha Elizabeth Hall, 95, died peacefully at Brendan House Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 9,1909, to R. H. Hall and Marie L. Hall in Salina, Kan. Her earlier years were lived in Salina and she attended schools there. She was a member of a church trio, singing on a weekly radio program in Lindsborg, Kan.

Later she moved to Princeton, Ill., where she was employed in a large children's orphanage. She found the years there with children very fulfilling and interesting.

She then attended St. Paul Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minn., for two years, with a goal of becoming a missionary for the Covenant Church of Salina. She was unable to fulfill that goal, due to pressing needs at home with her family.

The family later moved to Albuquerque, N.M., where she was first employed with the Pitchner Chocolate factory as a skilled chocolate dipper and later with Albuquerque school system in cafeteria work.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sister, Norma Daniel, of Kalispell, the only remaining sibling of seven others. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember her lovingly as a doting and caring "Auntie Martha" of their younger years.

She was unusually devoted to high principles of living: duty, honor and her love of the Lord. Her hands were never empty of hobbies … needlework, sewing and gardening. Growing flowers and plantings in her yard were an endless joy to her.

"She will be remembered with love and missed by us all."

The family wishes to express great thanks and appreciation to Pastor Reiner of Trinity Lutheran Church, to all the care givers at Brendan House and to the Hospice organization of Kalispell, which are suggested for donations or remembrances.

Also, very special thanks and appreciation to Bev Aaronson, volunteer with Hospice, who spent many hours bringing cheer, gifts and devotion to Martha. A truly special friend!

"Vaya Con Dios, dear little Martha … now made whole again with a new life in heaven."

Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
