Hoffenbacker, FHS set for last home duals

Flathead High School's final two home duals of the wrestling season are set for tonight.

Flathead wrestles Polson at 4 p.m. and Missoula Hellgate at 7.

Heavyweight Brandon Hoffenbacker, 23-2 to date, is one of four seniors on Flathead's roster.

The other three are Garrett Woodson, 215, Chris Thompson, 189, and Brandon Mitchell, 125.

Flathead enters the competition ranked No. 1 in Class AA while Polson was third in Class A last week.

Woodson's record is 20-11, Thompson's 24-4 and Mitchell 20-9.

Junior Mikey Kuehne, 145, has the most wins, 27, fewest losses, one, for the Braves.

Rounding out FHS' lineup for tonight it's:

98 - Brian Ham, fr., 26-6; 105 - TC Decker, fr., 24-5; 112 - Ricky Janes, so., 15-6; 119 - Austin Zapata, so., 17-14; 130 - Duran Flaget, jr., 20-8; 135 - Ryan Nelson, jr., 20-10; 140 - Tyler Wells, fr., 19-5; 152 - David Lau, fr., 22-9; 160 - Josiah Nelson, jr., 13-13; and 171 - Levi Holt, so., 26-8.

Flathead closes out the regular season with a trip to Helena on Saturday and dual action with Capital, noon, and Helena High, 2 p.m.

FHS hosts the seeding tournament Feb. 4-5 with the state tournament to follow Feb. 11-12 in Billings.
