| January 29, 2005 1:00 AM

Flathead County Sheriff's Office arrested a tenacious couple for trespassing. The pair had been evicted from a mobile home. The owner had shut off the water and power, and even moved the structure. But Thursday, smoke was visible coming from the chimney and the couple was found inside.

Don't think thieves take only inconspicuous items. Among the thefts reported were a bright orange cement mixer stolen from Meadows Road and an elk rack mounted to a rock at least 7 feet high on Shelter Valley Drive.

On Meadowlark Drive, two men walked up to a home, urinated on the floor and left. They both had backpacks, black hair and baggy clothes.

A domestic disturbance was reported at, ironically, Eden Court.

A resident suspects a neighbor is stealing electrical power.

Forgery was reported on South Cedar Drive. Someone using a debit card has been withdrawing money from a local resident's checking account at locations in California and Wyoming. Likewise, a resident on Whitefish Stage Road has been billed for telephone service out of state.

A front door was tampered with and prescription drugs were reported missing on Rose Crossing.

A man said his vehicle vanished months ago and he didn't look for it because he assumed it had been towed. Now, his friends are seeing someone driving his car, which also contains some of his possessions.

Citations were given at a juvenile party on Collier Lane. Another party, with a bonfire, was reported on Rogers Lake Road, but no one was there when deputies arrived. In Evergreen, youths admitted going through cars and taking bullets.

A vehicle stolen in Troy was found near Columbia Falls, where the new owner reportedly didn't know it was stolen when she bought it.

Neighborhood friction on Creekside Drive is about dog droppings.

If you drive onto someone's property and damage their fence, it's not wise to leave behind a credit-card slip from where you just had your hair cut.
