Vicki Jo Lopez, 53

Vicki Jo Lopez, 53, passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Vicki was born on Jan. 14, 1952, in Kalispell, to Marion and Vivian Smith. She attended schools in the Flathead Valley, graduating from Flathead High School.

After high school she attended the University of Montana.

Vicki married Frank Lopez in Las Vegas, in 1980. She worked for Mountain Bell in Phoenix, then worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Kalispell, Bigfork and Elmo.

She loved fishing on Flathead Lake, hunting, playing cards and going with her son, Justin, to his motocross races.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Buzz Smith; grandmother, Mildred Frach; stepgrandfather, Bob Frach; grandfather, Art Smith; and one brother, Mike Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Lopez, of Bigfork; a son, Justin R. Lopez; stepchildren, Jessie R., Jackie R., and Janice R. Lopez; brother, Mark and his wife, Frankie Smith, of Kalispell; sister, Patty Ruiz of Butte; 10 stepgrandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Topp officiating.

A potluck reception will be held after the memorial service at the Eagles club, 37 1st St. West, Kalispell.
