| January 31, 2005 1:00 AM

Criminal mischief reports kept Kalispell police busy. On Fifth Avenue West, a youth shot a BB gun at a neighbor, who told police he'd talk to the child's mother.

A garage door was egged on Rosewood Drive. The reporting party thinks it was a neighbor whom he had reported to authorities several times for letting his dog run loose.

Eggs were also the weapon of choice at the corner of First Avenue West and Second Street, where a car was egged.

A vehicle parked near Kalispell Regional Medical Center was found with a smashed window and an open glove box; it's unknown what was taken.

An officer investigating a possible sexual assault at the Alpine Inn ended up arresting an unrelated teenage girl who happened to wander into the room. She was charged with alcohol possession.

A fire alarm at Prestige Assisted Living turned out to be a case of burned toast in a resident's room.

Suspicious people reported on Sherry Lane just past midnight Sunday were youths doing some late-night sledding.

A fight at Fatt Boys involved a half-dozen brawlers, but no weapons.
