The Flathead County Sheriff's Office also fielded fireworks complaints.

Drinking and lawn mowing don't mix, a man on Trails End found out. An officer took the man's keys after someone called about the man's drinking a pint of liquor and taking off on a riding lawn mower.

A man on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls told dispatchers he shot a dog because it got too close to his horse.

Officers responded to a call about a child shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Someone reported a Dumpster stolen from Three Mile Drive. Someone called about a stolen stereo and keys on Meadowlark Drive.

Someone slashed tires at Shopko. Someone said a computer was taken from Staples. A theft on Belton Stage was reported.

A caller on Mission Trail reported an assault, and officers took a 13 year-old boy to the detention center. Another caller said there was an assault taking place in the Kmart parking lot, but the suspects were gone when officers arrived.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Whitefish Stage, as was a disturbance on Blacktail Road.

A 3-year-old girl was reunited with her parents on Youngs Lane.
