Kalispell police
It's that time of year again … complaints about fireworks kept Kalispell police officers busy. Officers responded to numerous calls throughout the city, including one about a group of people setting off fireworks on the west side of Kalispell. Another caller complained about the same group a little while later.
"Filthy jeans" might not be illegal, but they were suspicious enough for someone to complain about the wearer who was near the Glacier Bank drive-through on Center Street. He was gone by the time police arrived.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested on charges of providing alcohol to a minor when police stopped her on East Idaho. Her 18-year-old female companion was arrested for alleged possession of alcohol or intoxicants. A 26-year-old man was arrested on Second Street West on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
Someone at Kalispell Center Medical Center reported that $253 was missing. A person parked in the Kalispell Center Mall said part of a CD player was stolen from a car. A wallet was missing from her office, a North Main Street caller said.
A woman on Second Avenue West reported a pit bull attacked her dog.
It appears Kalispell might be having a shortage of beds … A woman sleeping in the grass at Woodland Park caused concern, as did a man yelling in the parking lot of the WestCoast Kalispell Center Hotel. Employees had told him that he could sleep in his truck in the parking lot.
A car ran into a building on Windward Way. Someone on Greenbriar Drive said a man had an automatic gun in his truck bed.
Someone at Scotty's bar was given a ride home. A Fatt Boys patron got a taxi trip home.
