Two little girls were throwing fireworks at cars on Kings Way Friday afternoon. Flathead County sheriff's deputies gave them both a serious talking to.

A man in West Glacier reported finding a homemade knife that was "very strange looking" and insisted officers remove it from his custody as soon as possible.

Near the area of U.S. 2 west of Kalispell, a mother was reported biting her teenage daughter after trying to bash her head into a desk because the girl didn't get home on time. This has apparently happened before, officers believe.

A man was arrested for DUI and careless driving on Helena Flats Road early Saturday morning.

In front of the Outlaw Inn at 3 a.m. Saturday, two foreign tourists stopped in the middle of the road to attempt to read the road signs. They were given a warning by officers in some sort of universal language.

A man was arrested on a domestic assault charge on Mountain Meadow Road.

A bunch of mailboxes were hit by exploding fireworks on Parliament Drive early Saturday morning. The mailboxes came through pretty well, but the adjacent newspaper box and the paper itself were described as "confetti."
