Kalispell police responded to a report of slashed tires on Third Avenue West on Sunday night. There are, alas, no suspects.

A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass to property and open container and fireworks at the East Idaho Street underpass.

For those who couldn't leave the fireworks alone, police were called to no fewer than a dozen locations Sunday and dispensed more than their fair share of warnings and cautions.

Three youths were arrested on suspicion of minor in possession on Riverview Green.

Early on Monday morning, a report of criminal mischief on Fifth Avenue West North turned out to be youths in a pickup shooting fireworks at someone's front window. Police advised the guilty parties to go home and warned them that if any further complaints of bottle-rocket damage were received, they would definitely be hearing from the law.

An employee reported a pair of fights at an East Idaho Avenue restaurant. One was inside, and the other was in the parking lot.

At mid-morning Monday in the Woodland Park Rose Garden, a man with long blond hair wearing a white skirt and coordinating blouse jumped into the bushes when a woman walked by. Bet that hurt.
