Harold John Boetcher, 84

Harold John Boetcher, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at the Montana Veteran's Home in Columbia Falls.

He was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Kalispell to John and Anna (Nichol) Boetcher. Harold received his early education attending Flathead schools.

In 1940, he joined the Army and served until separating in 1946.

Harold married Josephine Solimando on May 21, 1949, in Kalispell. He worked at various jobs, including the Hungry Horse Dam, a saw mill in Seeley Lake in 1958, and finally for the Flathead County as a janitor until his retirement in 1973.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as participating in sports and sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wallace and Raymond; and his stepfather, Ray Howell.

He is survived by wife, Josephine Boetcher, of Kalispell; son, Mike Boetcher, of Kalispell; and daughter, Linda Taylor, and husband, William, of Kalispell; two grandsons, Josh Taylor and girlfriend, Amanda Parsons, and Shawn Farnum and wife, Dezary; two great-grandsons, Ethan Farnum and Trevor Stroh; one sister, Kay Gordon; niece, Karen Nilsen; nephew, Malcom Gordon; great-niece, Loren Gordon; and a great-nephew, Kirk Nilsen.

Memorial services for Harold will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. There will be no visitation.
