Hodge, Reading national finalists

The Montana Coaches Association (MCA) has announced that Flathead High School boys track coach Dan Hodge and Whitefish girls soccer coach Lini Reading are National High School Association Coach of the Year finalists.

All total, there are 10 finalists for the award from Montana.

The other eight are: Michael Anderson, Bozeman, tennis; Shirley Chesterfield-Stanton, Helena Capital, girls track; Paul Edwards, Columbus, golf; Liz Flikkema, Manhattan Christian, girls basketball; Guy Melby, Sidney, wrestling; Wayne Moorman, Bridger, volleyball; Mike Nelson, Highwood, special sports, six-man football; and Ed Rohloff, Miles City, football.

Scott McDonald of Bozeman is a National Athletic Director of the Year finalists.

McDonald is now a member of the Montana High School Association.

The MCA also listed its spring sports Coaches of the Year awards, which will be presented at the MCA Coaches Multi-Sports Clinic in Great Falls on Aug. 4. Local winners are Jerry Boschee, Flathead High School girls track, and Paul Stelter, Flathead High School swim coach, girls special sports.
