An identity-theft case reported Tuesday to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office was from a man who discovered his own mother had used his name and information to obtain phone service out of town. He's been getting past-due bills on the account he didn't know about.
In another case of identity problems, a camper at Emery Bay complained about a woman who was taking money from campers and posing as a campground host. She really was the host.
A woman who loaned her car to her niece wants it back now.
At 4 a.m., a resident on Circle Drive in Columbia Heights reported a mountain lion on the property. An animal warden was notified. The uneasy resident decided to leave the house. A disturbance with threats on First Street East in Hungry Horse involves money. Other disturbances were reported on Nicholson Drive, Martini Lane, in Martin City, on Breezy Point, on Western Drive and Merganser Drive.
An elderly woman driving north in the southbound lane of U .S. 93 wasn't intoxicated; she was confused.
Road rage was reported on Lake Blaine Road when one driver reportedly swerved his vehicle twice at another.
Barking dogs make their home address of Peaceful Drive a misnomer. Youths on a four-wheeler reportedly make a dog bark in Marion. A resident on the North Fork Road has had it with a howling dog there. A dog was reported stolen on West Reserve Drive; the owner said it got loose and went to a gas station, where a girl picked it up and won't return it. Loose hogs were reported on Clearview Place, where they dug up a startled resident's flower beds. She said she couldn't get the porcine trespassers to leave her yard. A man thinks someone attacked his dog on Mountain Meadow Road.
A mother reported that her son molested another child.
A transient who has set up camp in the Evergreen area, rife with beer cans, is making a parent uneasy about letting her children play near there.
Two motorized minibikes were stolen from Middle Road. A yellow dump truck with flaming brakes or tires caused concern on Conrad Drive.
Evicted renters reportedly destroyed a house on Tetrault Lane.
There was no explanation for why a woman in the Olney area was wandering into traffic to make it slow down. Someone gave her some food and something to drink, and she wandered away.
A resident on Orchard Ridge Road reported getting 17 calls from an out-of-state number Tuesday night and 21 on Monday night.

A 2000 black Honda Civic stolen from Karrow Avenue was found in front of a Whitefish bar. Money and cigarettes were stolen on Trumble Creek Road. A glass door was broken on a building on Montana 35, from which money was stolen. A wallet was stolen at the Spinnaker bar. Identity was stolen on Black Bear Lane.
