WHITEFISH - Any hopes the Glacier Twins had of advancing to the state AA American Legion baseball tournament later this week in Bozeman were dismissed Saturday afternoon at Memorial Field.
Visiting Medicine Hat Monarchs swept a pair from Glacier, 10-0 and 7-2.
"A really tough day; really hard to take," said Glacier coach Jack Helber.
"We were hoping to sneak in there (state)."
The losses drop Glacier to 9-13 in league; Medicine Hat improves to 11-11.
The top four teams qualify for state.
"Just too many teams ahead of us (now)," said Helber.
Glacier closes out the regular season today, hosting the Great Falls Electrics for two games beginning at 1 p.m.
Boxscores from Saturday's contests were not available.
