A Columbia Falls man and a Mission Valley teenager were killed in separate single-vehicle accidents this weekend.

The 57-year-old Columbia Falls resident died Friday night, according to Flathead County Sheriff's Office. The accident occurred approximately three miles west of Whitefish on U.S. 93.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was the only occupant of the full-size van, which left the road on a curve and rolled over. Deputy coroner Sgt. Ernie Freebury said the victim was ejected from the van and died at the scene from neck and chest injuries. It is not believed by officials at this time that excessive speed was involved.

Whitefish fire and ambulance were initial responders.

Early Saturday morning a car went off a dirt road 10 miles west of Ronan. Fourteen-year old Marcus OneSalt, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Montana Highway Patrol officer Michael Gehl said the driver of the car and other passengers fled the scene and were being sought for questioning.
