Whitefish police

Whitefish police agreed with the neighbor that newspapers piled at the door, an unlocked house and money and food on the table were a bit suspicious, being at the home of a man who hadn't been noticed at home since he left to go hiking two weeks ago. Turns out he was in the hospital. No word on whether he is well yet.

There was a report of a man missing from Colorado Avenue. A doctor reported his patient had been assaulted.

A house was demolished Monday, but a 911 hang-up call came from there on Tuesday. Seems the moisture got into the phone cable and caused a short, not an emergency.
