Robert Milam, Jr., 36, passed away May 7, 2005. He was born Sept. 22, 1968, in Philadelphia. His childhood was spent in California, Montana and Wyoming.

After years of searching, he fulfilled his dream of being a 1st Mate.

He loved sailing the Alaska seas on the Sally J. His family is left with happy memories of time spent on the ocean shores. He enjoyed fishing, hard work, and watching his son play football and skateboard, and his daughter play softball.

He will be missed by his wife, Tara; daughter, Alyssa; mother-in-law, Karen Ann Reynolds; sons, Gage and Jagr of Bothell, Wash.; his parents, Robert Milam and Rosalyn Milam; grandmother, Margaret Lauman of Kalispell; sisters, Victoria, Tamala and Laura; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

"We wish him well on his journey, free from addiction at last."

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Ballard First Lutheran Church, 2006 NW 65th, Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert Milam Children's Fund, c/o Bank of America.
