The Bob Marshall Foundation needs volunteers to work in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex on various trail maintenance projects.

Projects in July and August include opening trails on the Rocky Mountain Front in the Bob Marshall Wilderness on North Fork Dupuyer and Potshot creeks July 30 and 31.

Volunteers can camp near the trailhead.

The foundation travels to Essex Creek and Almeda Lake in the northern Great Bear Wilderness on Aug. 6 and 7, again with camping near the trailhead.

The organization also needs help restoring Spruce Park Cabin in the Great Bear Wilderness on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River from August 6 to 13. The group will backpack to the cabin with pack support for tools, food and camping gear.

Another weeklong trail maintenance project is from August 20 to 27 along the Continental Divide Trail on Straight Creek Trail.

It is a backpacking trip with camping at Green Fork Cabin.

The foundation also is hosting two restoration projects.

Work on Black Bear campsite occurs Aug. 20 to 23.

This project will rehabilitate heavily affected campsites along the South Fork of the Flathead River.

Shaw Area Campsite rehabilitation occurs Aug. 25 to 28.

The project takes care of campsites along Gordon Creek in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
