Sheriff's deputies called off a car chase Monday night but arrested the alleged driver Tuesday afternoon when he reportedly rammed a patrol car.

The man was the subject of a call from a home on Spring Hill Road on Monday night, when he allegedly threatened to kill everyone in the house and then drove away, reportedly striking a vehicle.

Deputies found the man and attempted to pull over his vehicle on U.S. 2, west of Kalispell, but he reportedly refused to stop.

Officers briefly gave chase but called off the pursuit for safety reasons. They knew who he was and planned to arrest him later.

On Tuesday morning, the man reportedly called the home on Spring Creek Road seven times in six minutes.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers tracked the man to a location west of Kalispell and attempted to arrest him.

He reportedly rammed his vehicle into a deputy's car. He was arrested and faces an array of charges that could include assaulting an officer and reckless driving.

No one was hurt during the incident Tuesday afternoon.
