The Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched rescuers to a number of accidents, some serious. Badrock Fire Department, highway patrol and Columbia Falls ambulance went to a crash on Montana 206 that injured two people. Jaws of Life were needed for extrication at a rollover accident near the South Fork Bar on Wednesday; ALERT helicopter, Canyon Quick Response Unit, Martin City Fire Department, highway patrol and Columbia Falls ambulance were notified. Kalispell and Smith Valley fire departments went to a motorcycle accident on Foy's Lake Road. ALERT helicopter, Bigfork Fire & Medical, Lakeside Quick Response Unit and Somers Fire Department went to a rollover on Montana 82. An injured man took himself to the hospital.

In addition to accidents in clear weather, deputies dealt with numerous hostilities and acts of misbehavior.

On Foys Lake Road, a bicyclist going down the middle of the road threw a water bottle at a driver and made an obscene gesture. A resident on North Somers Road reportedly threatened a neighbor because of suspicions that he killed his cat. A woman was arrested after a domestic dispute on Riverside Drive. On Summit Avenue, a woman made her presence known by yelling, screaming and trying to break windows. A woman on Somers Road reported that her ex-husband slashed her tires and broke into her house. Gates were damaged on Spring Hill Road. Someone tried to break a garage window on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell. Mailboxes were targeted on Rhodes Draw. A vehicle was vandalized on South Cedar Drive. A house was paint balled.

Tuesday, a witness reported seeing a man beat a child inside a car in Hungry Horse on Sunday.

A 3-year-old child was found in the road on First Avenue North in Hungry Horse; a deputy talked about that with the child's parents. Same thing happened at Meadow Manor Trailer Park and on Lower Valley Road.

Deputies helped in Lake County, where a man shot himself twice in the stomach and survived.

A family disturbance was reported on Montana 206. Harassment was reported near Whitefish, and a woman reported that her son threatened and assaulted her.

Someone mooned children on West Cottonwood Drive. Geese reportedly were harassed on Juniper Bay Road.

A man who stayed a long time in his truck near White Oak Convenience Store caused suspicion. He was watching a movie inside his vehicle. A woman on Blacktail Road was concerned about the men who showed up at her door Tuesday night, saying they had car trouble. Someone else banged on a door at 3 a.m. on Somers Road and then vanished into the night A man jumped into traffic on Blanchard Lake Road.

A train passenger reported seeing a lightning strike cause a fire.

Saw blades were stolen from Root Masonry.
