Whitefish police

Whitefish police say the animal warden was flagged down Thursday by a citizen who handed him a deceased cat. The animal had apparently been in the river all winter long. The resident reportedly put the frozen cat in a bag and gave it to the animal warden to take care of.

A caller has concerns that Jimmy Buffett is coming from Florida to molest him.

Officers are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a relative in town.
