Ice fishing may be breaking up early this year on Bitterroot Lake, where two men and a four-wheeler broke through the ice Monday morning. According to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office, one man managed to scramble out of the cold water and the other was pulled out on a sled. The Marion Ambulance and other emergency responders were dispatched, and one of the two men was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center to be warmed. The four-wheeler was hauled out of six feet of water.

There was a report of a red truck and a silver truck driving in the Flathead River bottom near the Old Steel Bridge. A Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks warden was sent to the scene.

A deputy was sent to a business on Montana 206 south of Columbia Falls, where an 8-year-old boy had climbed into the cab on a 18-wheel truck to play with the lights and horn. People at the scene could not get the boy out of the truck, but eventually he was taken home by the deputy. The boy had reportedly left his yard without his mother knowing it.

Several expensive tools were reported stolen from a residence on Hidden Meadow Lane near Columbia Falls on Monday.

There was an attempted break-in reported at a River Road residence Monday morning. It appeared someone attempted to grind a lock off a door.

Tools and other items were reported stolen after a welding truck was broken into on Coram Stage Road sometime over the weekend.

There was domestic disturbance on U.S. 2 West of Kalispell Monday afternoon involving a woman who said her boyfriend had hurt her. While deputies were looking for the man involved, an ambulance was sent to the scene but the woman was not taken to the hospital.
