Flathead County Sheriff's Office devoted a good amount of time to a troublesome transient. The man was first reported threatening customers at Burger King in Evergreen on Sunday. He was told to stop and to move on. Later, deputies checked out a report that he was lying in the parking lot at Shopko; he was found to be fine. Then, he was reported bothering customers and talking to himself at Wal-Mart. He was urged to go sleep off some alcohol.

Deputies arrested a man Sunday after a woman was reportedly hurt in an assault on U.S. 2. Deputies looked for the man, who reportedly had a machete with him. He was arrested on Valley Drive. The woman went to the hospital with what she thought was a broken pelvis.

License plates were stolen on West Reserve Drive.

Trespassers were reported on Shady Lane and Flathead Drive, and threats were reported at Battle Hollow.

Deputies counseled warring neighbors on Ridgewood Drive, who agreed to stay away from each other. Obscene gestures are part of the landscape there. In another neighborhood dispute, a woman says a man takes her dog out of her yard and puts it in his.

Disturbances were reported on Sunnybrook Lane, Birch Grove and U.S. 93 South.

A rape report is under investigation.

In Hungry Horse, personal documents were reportedly stolen. There is a suspect.

A screaming woman who wouldn't leave a home on Tacklin Creek Road went to the hospital.

A theft was reported on Gamma Road.
