Byron Elton Kiser, 44

Byron Elton Kiser, 44, died in his sleep Sunday, March 6, 2005, at his home in Kalispell.

He was born Feb. 12, 1961, in Kalispell, to Phillip and Louise M. (Casady) Kiser. Byron attended schools in Columbia Falls and Anaconda.

He had worked as a journeyman painter for 25 years here and one year in Hawaii. He was a dedicated and meticulous painter and everyone who knew him appreciated his good work.

Byron was married to Libby Leigh Stiger on Aug. 1, 2001, and they have one son, Robert. He loved his family and friends and animals.

He always admired his grandfather, Robert Casady, who was also a painter and chose to follow in his footsteps. Byron was a generous person and willing to help anyone in need. He and a friend once hitchhiked to Florida to see the space center. Byron enjoyed camping and being in the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Libby Kiser, and son, Robert of Kalispell; his parents, Phil and Louise Kiser of Columbia Falls; sister, Rhonda L. (Kiser) Smith and son, Zeke Smith of Bemidji, Minn.; brother, Steve Kiser and his wife, Annette, and their children, Adam, Phillip, Robyn and Robert Kiser of St. George, Utah; brother, Vernon Kiser and his children, Tyler and Brittany Kiser of Columbia Falls; sister, Rubianna (Kiser) Masa and her husband, Paul, and their three daughters, Rebecca, Ariana and Kierra Masa of Columbia Falls; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Ruby Casady, and Elmer and Ruth Kiser; one niece, Jessica Masa; and one nephew, Jason Kiser.

Memorial services for Byron will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Columbia Falls Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1780 Talbot Road, Columbia Falls. There will be no public visitation.
